Strobe not working?
I had my DS125 on yesterday and it decided not to sinc up with the camera. I hope it's something simple. It's connected to a Ikelite housing via TTL converter.

Re: Strobe not working?
Did you figure out the reason... The most common problem i face is the hotshoe connector slipping out of it's nest when I slide the camera in the housing...

That happens all the time. I had it out of the housing and it still didn't work. Cleaned all the contacts and reseated the cable with no luck. This morning I hooked it up again and it worked. Might be a bad wire in the cable but that seems to make things come and go. It's working for now so with any luck it stays that way.

Re: Strobe not working?
That's a bummer. On the camera or the housing? I'm not sure how yours works.

On the camera...
I have to to get a duct tape from somewhere because the shoe is too loose.

Re: Strobe not working?
When you say it does not sync up, is it not firing at all, firing but not exposing, not firing but the LED blink when you shoot?
Re: Strobe not working?
Sorry, I missed this one. The strobe was not getting a signal from the Housing. I've had a couple of these cables go bad from getting bent but both times it was the duel strobe cable with Y. This time I think it was the circuitry in the housing. Doesn't matter at this point because the camera died and I gave the housing to a friend with the same setup for parts and he didn't have the dome port or lens so now he can shoot WAL.

I will be using the strobe with the Ikelite slave sensor with my GF1 when the housing arrives. I really want a new strobe or two to go with this hew camera and have been looking at the DS 161 for video. Two of those would require a Sherpa though just to get it to the water.

Ahahah! Mike, with a couple of DSs I am almost ready for constant ballast freediving world record... I know your pain!

Re: Strobe not working?
I know what you mean. I have 2 125's and you put those on a bulky Ike housing and it's quit a setup. My splitter sinc cord broke and I just went to 1 strobe. It's much easier at some of our rougher shore dive sites.
