Adobe develops Image DeblurringOctober 18, 2011 - 8:14 am
A plugin under development eliminates blur caused by camera shake

In a stunning presentation during MAX 2011 Adobe revealed a new process called Image Deblurring. In brief, the future Photoshop versions may be able to automatically analyze an image blurred by camera shake and restore a perfectly sharp picture.

The Photoshop plugin under development analyzes the camera shake determining the motion that caused the blur. Then it rearranges the pixels in order for you to get a perfectly sharp picture as if taken with a tripod. Obviously such Photoshop feature would make all owners of old non IS lenses very very happy. It would also aid us to produce great photos from our nights out, no matter how drunk we were at the bar.
As with all sneak peeks Adobe does not commit to the time and whether at all this feature would be included in any upcoming Photoshop releases, but it would for sure be a nice thing to have.

DomePort: New image viewing options addedMarch 17, 2010 - 11:56 am
You can now flip the images or preview them in black & white!

DomePort added new features allowing you to view the images in a different way, without posting different image versions!

If you preview the original size image, you'd notice that three new buttons were added. The buttons allow you to preview the image from a different perspective. Often if you flip the frame you'll find out that the image has a better appearance. That's why we added Vertical and Horizontal Flip buttons. The third button would allow you to preview the image in black & white.

More goodies are coming soon!

Best Fishes,
DomePort Team

Suunto introduces a new technical diving computerMarch 28, 2009 - 12:31 pm
Suunto HelO2 is the first dive computer from a mainline computer manufacturer that has full mixed gas capability.

Suunto HelO2Suunto HelO2 is the first dive computer from a mainline computer manufacturer that has full mixed gas capability. It is rated to 120 m/393 ft and incorporates the new Suunto Technical RGBM algorithm. Based on the RGBM algorithm developed by Dr. Bruce Wienke, widely recognized decompression scientist, the Suunto Technical RGMB algorithm extends decompression flexibility into the world of technical diving.

The algorithm introduces helium tissue groups in the decompression model to enable trimix diving, as well as diving on air and nitrox. It allows eight gases to be programmed as primary or secondary gases, and enables oxygen content of 8-100%, and helium content of 0-92%. For the technical diver, the great benefit of the algorithm is that it provides more flexibility and reduces task load when decompressing by removing the need to constantly monitor a slate and watch.
